Moments Captured

The first taste of photography is something not many have the privilege to know in the age of digital & mirrorless. My father dusted off his old film Pantax with a 35mm lens, I scrounged up some of the last remaining rolls of film at a local drug store & wandered around my local parks, hiking trails, and backyard. My first required art class at my community college was Photo I, taught in the traditional B&W film and darkroom developing. I will never forget the experience and anxiousness of developing a roll of film, hoping it turned out okay, taking it into the dark room to enlarge it, and placing it in that tub of developer to see the magic of those images just appear. It was then I fell in love with photography & how it allows me to capture the places between places, the moments of time, & create a visual poetic story.
